ITINERARY
Our guide will be waiting for you at the airport to welcome you. We will take you to the hotel on our comfortable bus with enough space for all your luggage.
ACCOMMODATION: Hotel Boutique Mama Cuchara or similar (first class)

Quito, declared a World Heritage Site in 1978 by UNESCO, captivates the senses with the best preserved colonial center in Latin America. We will have the opportunity to see the city from the domes of colonial churches, an impressive experience! On the way to the Papallacta hot springs we will visit a workshop of women who have maintained the tradition of ceramics.
ACCOMMODATION: Hotel Termas de Papallacta (first class)

In the morning we will enjoy the facilities of this spa located at 3,200 meters above sea level. We will observe different species of hummingbirds that exist in Ecuador, a unique paradise!. We will share with the ancestral cultures of the Amazon where we will see how the women of the community play an important role in the development of the community.

It's time to experience one of the most interesting activities in the Amazon: the rafting class III rapids of the area, 4 hours of pure emotion! In the afternoon we will share activities that will connect us with our senses as we will get into the aromas, colors and textures of the Amazon.

From Tena we will head, via the Ecuadorian highlands, to one of the most attractive places in the country, the city of Baños. On the way we will visit the waterfalls of the area, the most representative being El Pailon del Diablo with an imposing water fall.
ACCOMMODATION: Hotel Luna Runtun or similar (first class)

Another excellent day to get our adrenaline pumping with the famous Baños canopy whose aerial cables, ranging from 150 to 700 meters long, will take us over the rainforest of the area. On the way back to Quito we will share with Ecuadorian women who will tell us about their transforming experiences.

Arrival at Baltra airport in Galapagos where our guide will be waiting for us. We will visit the high part of Santa Cruz Island, a perfect habitat for the giant tortoises of Galapagos to finally arrive in Puerto Ayora.

MEALS INCLUDED: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Navigation by yacht to the North Seymour, Plazas or Bartolome islands. The visited island will depend on the authorization of the Galapagos National Park; however, any of these islands will offer a unique experience with breathtaking landscapes and endemic fauna that can only be seen in Galapagos.

We will learn about the projects that the Charles Darwin Station carries out in conjunction with the Galapagos National Park to protect native species and eradicate invasive species that threaten their environment. We will return to the mainland for the international flight home. In case you need an extra night, we are happy to help you with this at the time of booking.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- The itinerary is subject to change due to weather, logistical and operational reasons.
- A 10% deposit is required at the time of confirmation to hold space.
- Payment in full 60 days prior to the tour departure.
- Cancellation without surcharge can be made up to 8 days of booking confirmation. The deposit will be refunded if cancellation occurs within this time (does not cover transfer or card refund charges).
- For any cancellation, full charges apply from day 9 after confirmation.
- Groups of maximum 16 passengers, minimum of 6. In case of not meeting the minimum on the selected date, an alternative date or the option of a private trip will be offered, re-quoting the service according to the number of people confirmed.
- Accommodation in shared rooms throughout the itinerary.
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate for entry into Ecuador (if required).
- We strongly recommend having travel insurance, as the tour price does not include it.
TRAVEL TIPS
WEATHER
- Ecuador has a tropical climate that varies with altitude and regions.
- The weather is very pleasant although it can vary on the same day.
- Wet season: December to May. The climate is warm and rainy.
- Dry season: June to November with temperatures between 25ºC to 30ºC.
WHAT TO BRING ON THIS TOUR
- Comfortable and sporty clothing for adventure days.
- Casual clothes and if you wish you can dress up a bit for dinners.
- Lightweight but warm jacket/sweatshirt for cool mornings and evenings or unusually cool days.
- Long pants and long sleeve blouses for the Amazon.
- Rain poncho.
- Bathing suit.
- Necessary for a good sleep, such as ear plugs, sleeping pills, etc.
- Trekking shoes for both mainland Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands.
- Sandals for the beach.
- Sunscreen minimum factor 50.
- Sunglasses and sun hat.
- Mosquito repelente.
LUGGAGE:
- We recommend ONE suitcase with a maximum height of 63 cm and an approximate weight of 15 kg, and a small carry-on bag.
- Personal belongings are under the responsibility of each passenger.
PHYSICAL CONDITION:
- Our tours are characterized by visiting the tourist sites on foot, your physical condition is important for you to be able to keep up with the group.
- Remember that we will be at altitudes of 2,800 to 4,000 meters above sea level.
- While you are in Galapagos you have the option of snorkeling. Check your physical condition for this activity.
MONEY:
- In Ecuador the official currency is the US dollar. If you are going to bring cash, try to have low denomination bills, since most stores accept bills of up to USD 20.
- The most widely accepted credit cards in Ecuador are Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.
- There is a wide coverage of ATMs in the country if you need to withdraw money.
GRATUITIES:
- In the case of continental Ecuador we suggest an amount of USD 5 per day for the driver and USD 10 per day for the guide.
- In the case of Galapagos we suggest USD 15 per day for the guide and USD 10 per day for the crew.

INVISIBLE FORCE IN THE GALAPAGOS FIELDS
In Galapagos the terrain is hostile; however, the community that lives there has managed to cultivate it. Women play an important role here because it is thanks to them that Galapagos has been able to grow 100% organic crops such as coffee. The islands do not have freshwater sources; despite this, these women have managed to bring water to their crops and maintain them. Their constant work has been an important contribution to the islands' ability to produce their own food.
